About the Artist

Welcome to Dark Water, my name is Casey Golding. Originally from a small Saskatchewan village, I began reading Lovecrafts work in my teens. Stories of grotesque worlds and elder gods provided escape from a bored and troubled existence. Like many artists I found great inspiration in his vision; his influence manifesting itself through my own stories, paintings and drawings. Before long the walls of my room were covered in sketches of Innsmouth and Dunwich, tentacled monsters and great Cthulhu. Oh, what my parents must have thought...

After college, I found work on the east coast, working in the animation industry. Childrens television hardly allowing me to express my dark side, I reserved those tendencies for sketchbook horrors and my own short film experiments. I now live in the seaside village of Hacketts Cove with my wife and daughter. Dark Water is my first graphic novel.
